Officers Mess at Great Hyde Hall.

Requisitioned by W/C Geddes for use as the Officers Mess. Many additional temporary buildings were erected  in the grounds of this fine old house.

One really important building was the Link Trainer. This was an early type of flight simulator used to train pilots.  I am pleased to say that the Link Trainer still stands in the grounds of Great Hyde Hall. Many thanks to Peter Clark for these images
