There were eight dispered sites attached to RAF Hunsdon. These were for living accomodation
for Officers, Sergeants, WAAF's and other ranks. All were west of the airfield and mostly bordering the Hunsdon to Stanstead
Abbots road. Of these sites only Sites 1,2,3,4, and 8 have any evidence of existance. Sites 5,6 and 7
have been totally eradicated by return to agriculture.
Number 1 site has all but gone except for the sewerage works. There is one building that has
been slightly modernised here as the small treatment works are still in use!
